How do we choose English teachers for EF Small Stars?

If kids start to study English from childhood, their potential ability of learning would be fully inspired. We always choose best English teachers for EF Small Stars courses. They are not only talented English teachers and often passionate people as well. Our teachers have the ability to make your child laugh, to motivate them and to inspire them.

Most foreign teachers we currently employs are native or near native speakers in all of its programs. We hire on academic credentials (All of our teachers are university graduates or higher, and mostly are double internationally certified), work-experience as well as on personality. Our screening process is rigorous; we hire less than 5% of applicants.

Tips for student:Anything worth doing takes effort, so my advice is to study! Set aside a small part of your day to study English, as little as 20 minutes a day can make a big difference. Pronounce the words out loud as you study. You will remember the words easier while practicing your pronunciation. Just imagine how happy your English teacher will be!

Tips for student: Proper pronunciation is a key factor in successful English communication. To a student who wishes to improve their pronunciation I would suggest listening to native speakers. Pay careful attention to how native speakers use English. Observe the way they pronounce their words and how they use them. With practice your listening and pronunciation skills will improve, you may even pick up some new phrases.

Teachers for young learner

How do our teachers help students to improve English?

EF's teachers are exceptional in their ability to inspire and motivate our students to learn. Different from the rote memorization lessons at regular schools, EF English First teachers strive to make English learning interesting and fun for every student.

Use multimedia equipments

During lessons, EF teachers also use multimedia equipment, called EF's Classroom Companion Unit(CCU). Each CCU displays visuals and audio scripts so that teacher-led learning is interactive and fun and reinforce vocabulary and language concepts.

Various group activities

Our teachers always make full use of all the supplementary materials to create an enjoyable, motivating, and engaging atmosphere. For example, they use word cards to teach vocabulary more vividly, tell stories to make the lessons more interesting, play cartoons to inspire kids, use toys to play games with kids and teach English songs to improve kids¡¯listening and speaking.

Continuous assessment system

Throughout the course, teachers follow a carefully tailored continuous assessment system that allows them to monitor students' progress and identify areas that need improvement. To complement the continuous classroom assessment, progress is also evaluated by teachers at the end of each unit, level and stage to ensure that students are reaching their absolute potential.

Interesting homework

After each lesson, EF teachers always set homework for kids to practice the new words and sentences they've learnt. After kids submit their homework, teachers will offer feedback at the earliest possible opportunity.

We have most suitable teachers for each course

All the teachers courses have received professional training before. Apart from foreign teachers, we also have excellent local teachers to make students feel easier to switch the channel to English from Chinese and learn more efficiently. However, most of our teaching staffs are native speakers.
